Disney Trip

We all had a really good time. Samantha would stay awake all day and would fall asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel. The above picture really captures a lot of feeling of the trip. It was taken during the Lion King show we saw. But she had that look on her face a lot.

We are back from our wonderful vacation. We went to Florida and stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. It was a cool place with all the neat things from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s done larger than life. We were in the 60s section. It was close to everything and it was right by a huge Baloo. All the outside stairs where made up to look like an item for each time period. There was a huge cell phone, rubik’s cube, 8-track tape, and a yo-yo. It had 3 pools all shaped different: a bowling pin, huge flower, and a computer. The computer’s keyboard was made of this soft cork stuff that Samantha loved to run on. Samantha’s other favorite place was an area that had water shooting up out of the ground and you never new which one was going to come up next. She liked running around and sometimes getting wet.

We also went to all the Disney parks. Samantha’s favorite ride was Dumbo. The first time she rode it she rode the orange one. She really wanted to ride the purple one. The second time she rode she did get to go on the purple one. We all got to go to the Animal Kingdom park for the first time. Samantha and Patrick went on a safari ride that I couldn’t go on. They got to see lots of fun animals, including an elephant. Then we all got to ride a dinosaur. We all had a really good time. Samantha would stay awake all day and would fall asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel. The above picture really captures a lot of feeling of the trip. It was taken during the Lion King show we saw. But she had that look on her face a lot.

We also took Samantha mini golfing for the first time. She did really well. By the end of the first time she was getting the grip down. We went a second time a couple days later. She was really enjoying it and was really starting to get the hang of it.

It was a fun week and the weather was great. On our last full day there temperature was a record setting 84 degrees. Hopefully that can care us through until spring.
